From the outside, you can see the toy through a plastic window, and inside, a hygiene seal guarantees that you are the first person to hold it in your hands.

The package includes the Womanizer Premium 2, a USB charging cable (without charger), a second silicone attachment (shorter), a quick start guide, safety information, a cotton storage pouch, and the #IMASTURBATE card of the Womanizer social media campaign.

As soon as I took the Womanizer Premium 2 out of its packaging, I was immediately impressed by the luxurious feel of its surface and the excellent quality of its workmanship.

With overall dimensions of 15.5 × 5 × 3.5 centimetres, it is one of the largest Womanizers, at least in terms of length. Only the W100, the very first Womanizer model, the Plus Size (both no longer available) and the new Womanizer Next are larger. The Womanizer Duo 2 is also larger, but since it is a different type of sex toy (a rabbit vibrator), we are not including it in this size comparison. Despite its size, the Premium 2 is a real lightweight at only 141 grams.

Now that I've had a closer look at the Premium 2, I would like to discuss the similarities as well as the new features that I have noticed compared to its predecessor.

Womanizer Premium vs Womanizer Premium 2 – What Are the Differences?

After more than three years since the introduction of the Womanizer Premium into the market, the manufacturer released the Womanizer Premium 2 at the end of October 2021. This new model comes with some small improvements.

Let's start with a rough overview of the similarities and differences between the two generations, presented in a table:

Similarities:
When you hold both toys in your hand, the first thing you notice is their soft surface, which is very pleasant to the touch. There is also no visual difference between the two generations. Their shape and size are exactly the same and the weight has not changed either. The charging time (120 min) and battery life (240 min) are also identical.

Now let's look at the differences.

Packaging:
The packaging of the Womanizer Premium 2 has remained more or less the same as that of the first Premium. Its structure is the same, the design is adapted to the colour of the toy it contains, and you can see the Womanizer from the outside through a plastic window. However, much less plastic has been used overall, around 41%. After the introduction of the eco-friendly Womanizer Premium Eco a few months earlier, whose packaging is made entirely from FSC paper, the move in this direction was perfectly logical.

Scope of Delivery:
There have been some changes regarding the scope of delivery as well. While the user manual of the first Premium was like an encyclopaedia, the instructions for the Premium 2 are short and concise. Certainly, this was also done for environmental reasons. This also applies to the storage pouch made of organic cotton, which I already knew from the Womanizer Premium Eco. However, it actually made more sense there, as a satin pouch is always the better choice for silicone toys. This is because silicone generally tends to attract small pieces of lint, which then stick to the material. On the other hand, the silicone of the Premium 2 seems to be more dust and lint-resistant than usual.

Available colours:
The first Premium originally came in five colours, not all of which are still available today.

For the Premium 2, the red/gold and white/chrome colour variants were replaced by burgundy/gold and light grey/chrome. Additionally, in March 2024, the Lilac Special Edition was released. This means the Premium 2 offers a choice of six different colours.

Number of intensity levels:
The new Premium 2 now has 14 intensity levels, which is two more than its predecessor. When running both toys side by side, it's initially hard to tell where exactly the two additional intensity levels have been added. What is certain is that they are not at the very bottom of the scale, as even gentler intensities are probably not necessary for most women and could not be realised with the built-in motor anyway. Only the Womanizer Next, with its new linear motor, is capable of achieving lower intensity levels. Compared to the first-generation Premium, the Premium 2 definitely has one stronger intensity level, and the other one was probably added somewhere in the middle, resulting in smaller jumps between levels. For most women, however, this won't make a noticeable difference.

Autopilot:
I remember criticising the autopilot function of the first Premium a little and describing its absence in other models as ‘no great loss’. This was partly due to the way it was controlled and partly due to the intensity ranges of the three different modes. Both aspects have been optimised in the Autopilot 2.0 of the Womanizer Premium 2. Apparently, many users had the same issues with it as I did, as Womanizer itself has now admitted that the Autopilot mode has been revised and improved in response to feedback from many customers.

To activate the Autopilot on the Premium 2, you now need to press and hold the button with the tilde symbol (~) for 2 seconds, after which you can switch between the different modes by briefly pressing the same button. This is of course significantly more user-friendly compared to the way it was in the earlier version, as pressing this button again on the Premium 1 resulted in the autopilot function being deactivated. Switching between the autopilot modes was done using the plus and minus buttons.

The autopilot still has 3 modes, but the division of the intensity ranges makes much more sense now. Here is a brief overview:

As you can see, with the first Premium, all three automatic programmes always started at intensity level 1. This has now changed. For example, if you now select the Intense mode, it starts at intensity level 9 and then stays within the range of 9-14.

All in all, the Premium 2 is a worthy successor to the Womanizer Premium. It is very positive that despite the improvements, the price has only been increased by £10 to a total of £179. While this is indeed a lot of money, the price can still be considered fair and reasonable given the quality and performance. After all, the Womanizer Premium 2 is the best pressure wave stimulator on the entire market.

Charging the Womanizer Premium 2

Before using the toy for the first time, I recommend cleaning it. You can find the relevant instructions further down. While your Womanizer might come with a slight charge, it won't last very long, which is why you should fully charge the device first. Make sure it is dry beforehand, and the same applies to the charging cable and the charger if you are using one. Also check that the magnetic charging head is properly attached.

While the Womanizer Premium is charging, the three LEDs flash in succession. Once the device is fully charged, all LEDs will light up continuously and you can remove the charging cable. It takes around 2 hours to fully charge the battery, after which it lasts up to 4 hours, with the actual duration depending on the selected intensity. This means that if you use only high intensity settings, the battery will not last for four hours.

The Buttons of the Womanizer Premium 2

It is also advisable to familiarise yourself with the controls of the Premium 2 before first use.

The Womanizer Premium 2 is equipped with four buttons, some of which are multifunctional. Below, I will explain in detail the specific functions of each button.

The on/off button:
When holding the Womanizer Premium 2 in the usual manner for use, this button is located at the top, directly below the magnetic pins. It shows the power symbol and its purpose is of course to turn the device on and off. I personally find having a separate on/off button advantageous, as it significantly enhances user-friendliness by eliminating potential complications that can come with a multifunctional button, where turning the device on is only one of several functions. Additionally, it is positioned far from the other control buttons, further minimizing the risk of accidentally turning off the toy during use.

To turn the toy on and off, press and hold this button for two seconds. When turning it on, the LEDs light up to indicate the battery level. After a full charge, as previously mentioned, all the LEDs should light up. If only the bottom two are lit, it means your Womanizer is only half charged. When the bottom LED starts flashing, the battery is nearly empty and needs to be recharged after two to three uses. This is a nice feature, as it prevents the toy from running out of power during use, which can be quite frustrating as we all know. So it’s good that Womanizer has thought ahead. By the way, the LEDs not only indicate the charging status but also show the current intensity of the Autopilot mode when it is active, more on that in a moment.

You turn on the Womanizer Premium 2 and it doesn't make a sound? Don't worry, your toy isn't defective; the Smart Silence function is activated by default. This ensures that the device only starts when the stimulation head makes contact with the skin. Without skin contact, it remains in standby mode for five minutes before turning itself off. However, you can also deactivate the Smart Silence function.

The Autopilot button:

Now let's move on to the actual use of the Womanizer Premium 2: spread your labia slightly apart and place the stimulation head with the oval opening onto your clitoris using light pressure. How to Clean the Womanizer Premium 2

As the Womanizer Premium 2 is fully waterproof, cleaning it is very easy. Simply spray its surface with a sex toy cleaner and wipe it with a lint-free cloth. You should remove the silicone head and clean it separately under running water.

Also spray some toy cleaner into the opening of the stimulation head and let it take effect for a short time. Deactivate the Smart Silence function and switch to the highest intensity level. Now immerse the toy in warm water for 30 seconds or hold the opening under a gentle stream of running water. Then take it out, gently shake it to remove excess water, and leave it switched on until you no longer hear any water noises in the pressure chamber.
